I'm Ella Keen Allee, a recent Cornell University graduate with a background in information science, psychology, and visual studies.
My passion for design began in elementary school. My friends and I started a paper phone "company," which was exactly what it sounds like; we would meticulously cut out phone-like shapes from printer paper, then start brainstorming what they should look like. Although these were just little doodles, that feeling of creating something from nothing has stayed with me until today (our "company" closed down in 2014, but its legacy lives on!).
Today, I design with the philosophy that products and the experiences they create should feel intuitive, approachable, and, perhaps most importantly, spark joy and excitement.
My background in psychology shapes how I approach research, decision-making, and human behavior, while visual studies continues to influence how I think about storytelling, composition, and craft. Together, they've taught me that great products aren't just functional; they're clear, useful, and built with empathy 💌
